Tréaslaimid le Síofra, R6, a bhauigh an mórdhuais náisiúnta de chuid Intel Mini Scientist i mbliana. Rinne Síofra a tionscnamh ar Fheithidí sna hAibhneacha. Rinne sí a cuid taighde i srutháin agus in abhann sa cheantar seo. Bhí na moltóirí ó Intel an-tógtha leis an ábhar, agus leis an gcaoi ina leag Síofra amach a cuid ceisteanna, taighde agus torthaí. Roghnaíodh tionscnamh Shíofra as na mílte tionscnaimh ó pháistí bunscoile eile fud fad na tíre, is éacht agus bua den scoth é seo do Shiofra! Rinne gach éinne i R6 M. Congratulations to Síofra, Rang 6, who won the overall national prize in the Intel Mini Scientist competition this year. Síofra’s project was on Insects in the Rivers, and she conducted her research at local streams and rivers. The judges in Intel were very impressed with her chosen topic, and with the way in which Síofra presented her questions, research and her findings. Síofra’s project was selected from thousands of other projects submitted from primary shcool children around the country, so this is a huge achievement! All the chidlren from R6 M. Marian submitted a project for this competition, and all are very deserving of congratulations on their fantastic work. Well done all; our next generation of scientists!
